Finance Minister Dr.Yuvaraj Khatiwada and Asian Development Bank's President Masachugu talked to further support for Nepal's development .
During the talks, ADB commits 250 million dollor (around 30 Billion Nepalese rupees) loans to protect Nepal's economy from the effects of corona virus COVID-19.
In a telephone conversation, Finance Minister Dr. Khatiwada and the ADB Bank Chairman discussed the impact of COVID-19 on the economy, the Asian Development Bank's assistance to Nepal, and the Bank's additional assistance in the coming days in Nepal's development priorities.
Stating that the Asian Development Bank is Nepal's main development partner, the Finance Minister also lauded the Bank's support in the field of rural enterprises including energy, transport, drinking water and urban development.
In this regard, the Finance Minister also hoped that the Bank would assist in the development of infrastructure required to increase the interdependence between the local levels.
Stating that the role of public sector in healthcare should be effective from COVID-19, the Finance Minister said that he expected more assistance from the bank in the development of health infrastructure in Nepal in the coming days.
