Government issues notice to pay taxes by June 10

Kathmandu. The government has directed the industrialists and businessmen to pay the tax in the third quarter of the fiscal year within the stipulated time. The government has increased the pressure to pay taxes within the last extended deadline by issuing public notices.

After the lock-down, the government had extended the deadline for paying most of the taxes in April and May to June 10. The cabinet meeting on April 29 had decided to extend the tax payment period by one month.

However, the government, which has decided to extend the deadline for the last time, has not extended the deadline for payment of taxes after June 10.

Instead, the Inland Revenue Department has issued a public notice urging to avoid fees, additional fees, interest and fines by paying taxes by June 10.
