Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank has amended the Bank Account Operation Directive 2076 of government transactions. The first amendment of the Government Transaction Directive 2076 has been made for the operation of the account.
NRB has allowed only commercial banks to operate accounts for government transactions. The rest of the paragraph has been amended in the third paragraph of points 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 of the said guideline and at the end of points 4.2.4 and 4.3.1.
The NRB is amending the directive saying, "Such an account can be opened by arranging a separate officer from the financial administration to operate the accounts in the expenditure centers including commissions, projects, divisions and wards under the metropolis and sub-metropolis." Such accounts must be opened in the name of the respective expenditure centers under the respective group and the transaction amount in those accounts should be included in the SKFA No. 1 and a report should be submitted.
