Kathmandu. Bank of Kathmandu and Himalayan Bank have won the case in China after 8 years. It is said that the Chinese court informed both the banks after winning the case. However, the losing party still has a long way to go to the Supreme Court.

A case was being heard in a Chinese court over the loss of bail related to the Melamchi Drinking Water Project. For this, both the banks had sent their representatives to China.

In a debate on February 15, the court had given the bank one month to submit evidence of payment to the Melamchi Drinking Water Project. After that, both the banks had submitted all the required documents to the court for proof of payment to Melamchi Drinking Water Project from their accounts.

In addition, Bank of Kathmandu will get back Rs 900 million and Himalayan Bank will get Rs 660 million.
