Kathmandu, The stock market closed down 2.38 points on Monday. Of the 12 groups that traded on Monday, four improved but others declined. Banking, trading, hotels and manufacturing and processing groups have improved.

A total of 199 companies had a turnover of Rs 4.76 billion. Shares worth Rs 6.90 billion were traded yesterday.

Investors in Hydroelectricity Investment and Development Company and Himalayan Distillery Limited have earned the most. Similarly, investors in NIC Asia Balance Fund and Citizens Mutual Fund 1 have lost the most.

Nepal Bank has the highest share turnover. Shares of the bank worth Rs 302.2 million have been traded.
