Kathmandu: Bank of Kathmandu's net profit has declined. Bank of Kathmandu's profit has decreased by 19.84% compared to last year and has been limited to Rs. 708.51 million in the second quarter of the current Fiscal Year. The bank had made a net profit of Rs 883.81 million in the corresponding period last year. The bank's own interest income and operating profit have declined. Distributable profit also decreased by 35.43% to Rs. 386.286 million.
Hence, both deposit mobilization and credit investment have improved. Paid up capital has increased by 13% and reserve fund by 2.56%. Retained earnings decreased by 55.81%. Similarly, earnings per share and net worth have also declined. Earnings per share fell by Rs 6.1 to Rs 14.67 as net profit weakened.
