11 commercial banks of Nepal make earned Rs 1 Billion, Global IME Banks is Top One

Kathmandu. Most of the banks have increased their profits in the second quarter of the current Fiscal Year 2077/78. Of the 15 commercial banks that have made their financial statements public, 11 have a profit of over Rs 1 billion and seven have less than Rs 1 billion.

NIC Asia Bank, the second most profitable bank after Global IME Bank, has earned a profit of Rs 2.65 billion in the first six months of the current fiscal year. The bank had earned a profit of Rs 2.16 billion in the same period last fiscal year. The distributable profit of the bank is Rs. 728.1 million.

Nabil Bank, which is in the third list of the most profitable banks, has earned a profit of Rs 2.1 billion in the first six months of the current fiscal year. The bank's current profit is 1.26 percent lower than the same period of the previous year. The bank's profit was Rs 2.4 billion in the same period last fiscal year. The bank's distributable profit stood at Rs 1.84 billion in the second quarter.
