Nepal Bank Chairman Basudev Adhikari's resignation approves by Finance Minister

Kathmandu. The government has accepted the resignation of Nepal Bank Limited Chairman Basudev Adhikari. Adhikari resigned from the post on Sunday after a dispute with the finance ministry over the distribution of dividends. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has accepted the resignation of Chairman Adhikari.

Adhikari has resigned after the bank expressed dissatisfaction over the fact that the bank has already distributed cash dividends to its shareholders. Nepal Bank had decided to distribute 16 percent dividend. The bank has decided to distribute 12 percent bonus shares and 4 percent cash dividend.
