The data of the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General shows that the problem of depressing capital budget expenditure has been repeated in the current fiscal year as in the past. The work of the scheduled development plan has been affected due to non-expenditure of development targeted capital budget.

According to the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General, the government's capital budget expenditure progress is only about 20 percent as of March 30 of the current fiscal year. As of Thursday, the total capital budget expenditure was only 19.79 percent. Capital expenditure during the review period was Rs. 69.83 billion. The government has allocated Rs. 352.91 billion for the total capital expenditure through the budget of the current Fiscal Year.

Current expenditure is 45 percent of the total allocated budget. A total of Rs 426.43 billion was spent in the current period, according to the office. In the current fiscal year, the government has allocated Rs. 928.94 billion for current expenditure.

Similarly, 19.19 percent has been spent on financial management in the same period. Under this heading, the budget for the current fiscal year is Rs. 172.78 billion, out of which a total of Rs. 32.65 billion has been spent.
