Kathmandu. The target is to increase the contribution of industry sector to 26 percent of Nepal's GDP. The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has launched a campaign under the slogan 'Prioritize Indigenous Products and Strengthen the Business Environment for Nepali Industries'.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday launched the 'Make in Nepal' indigenous campaign. Entrepreneurs plan to increase the contribution of industry sector to the country's economy by 22 percent by 2025.
Speaking on the occasion, Confederation President Satish Kumar More said that the target was to add 1,000 new industries every year and provide industrial employment to 150,000. He also said that the confederation plans to increase Nepal's annual exports to US ४ 4.3 billion in the next five years.
