Kathmandu. Mahalakshmi Development Bank has made a net profit of Rs. 403.6 million till the third quarter of the current fiscal year. According to the bank's financial statement released on Tuesday, the net profit has increased by 1.57 percent this year as compared to last year. The bank had made a profit of Rs 397.36 million during the same period last year. The bank's distributable profit for the third quarter stood at Rs 257.66 million.
Operating profit has declined by 0.64 percent this year. The bank, which made an operating profit of Rs 563.87 million last year, has made a profit of Rs 562.42 million this year. Net interest income has also declined by 1.38 percent this year. Last year, the net interest income was Rs 1.19 billion, but this year it is only Rs 1.16 billion.
The paid-up capital has increased to Rs 3.34 billion through 8.8 percent bonus shares. The reserve fund has also increased by 10.22 percent to Rs 1.57 billion from last year.
Compared to last year, the bank's deposit collection has decreased by 1.38 percent and credit flow by 1.14 percent this year
