Kathmandu. On Monday, the second day of the year, the share market index Nepse has decreased by 12 points. The stock market index, which declined by 12.35 points on Monday, closed at 2652.75 points.
Even though the share market declined on Monday, the transaction amount has not decreased. A total of 159,08,499 shares of 216 companies were traded at a turnover of over Rs 7.52 billion.
All groups except microfinance and investment have declined. While microfinance increased by 69 points, investment group remained green below 1 point. Banking dropped by 9 points, trade by 15 points, hotels and tourism by 12 points, development banks by 22 points, hydropower by 32 points, finance by 9 points, non-life insurance by 80 points, manufacturing by 64 points, others by 32 points and life insurance group by 90 points.
On this day, the value of giant market companies and women's microfinance has increased by 10 percent. Similarly, the price of Singati Hydropower has gone up by 8 percent.
Similarly, investors in Arun Valley were ahead in losing. The company's value fell 2.6 percent. Mountain Energy prices fell 2.5 percent.
Hydropower Investment and Development Company was in the forefront in terms of turnover. The company's turnover was Rs 470 million, up 2.3 percent to Rs 485 per share.
