Sweden has entered the knockout stage of today's Euro Cup 2020 by winning the group.
Sweden advanced to the knockout stage after beating Poland 3-2 in the final match of the group stage at the Krestowski Stadium. For Sweden, Emel Forsberg scored two goals and Victor Kallison scored one goal. Poland captain Robert Lewandowski returned two goals.
Robert Lewandowski had a golden opportunity to score through a header in the 18th minute of the first half. His shot bounced off the goalpost.
When the rebound ball was hit again by Lewandowski, the ball came out from near the goal post.
Sweden had already entered the knockout stage one game earlier in Group E. After winning today's match, Sweden has entered the last 16 as the group winner. Sweden tops the group with seven points. This is the end of the Euro tour of defeated Poland.
