Non-life insurance company's business is Rs 26 billion, Shikhar Insurance is first

Kathmandu. In the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, non-life insurance companies have collected over Rs 26 billion in premiums.

Currently, there are 20 companies operating in the non-life insurance business. The insurance committee has stated that these companies have collected insurance fee of Rs 26.52 billion from mid-July to mid-June. The data obtained by the committee does not include the data of the National Insurance Company.

During the same period, 18 non-life insurance companies have collected insurance premiums for the sale of fire, motor, marine, aviation, agriculture and crop, engineering, corona and other miscellaneous insurance articles.

Out of which, 13 companies have collected Rs 1 billion to Rs 3.46 billion while six companies have collected total insurance fees ranging from Rs 560 million to Rs 1 billion.

In the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, Shikhar Insurance has collected the highest insurance premium and Sanima General Insurance the lowest.

As of mid-June, Shikhar Insurance has collected Rs 3.46 billion, Sagarmatha Insurance Rs 2.26 billion, NECO Insurance Rs 2.20 billion and Siddhartha Insurance Rs 2.2 billion.

During the same period, NLG collected Rs 1.89 billion, Premier Insurance Rs 1.60 billion, IME General Insurance Rs 1.32 billion and Prabhu Insurance Rs 1.26 billion.

Similarly, Himalayan General has collected Rs 1.23 billion, Prudential Insurance Rs 1.17 billion, Lumbini Insurance Rs 1.15 billion, Azod Insurance Rs 1.14 billion and Nepal Insurance Rs 1.10 billion till mid-June.

During the period, The Oriental Insurance collected Rs 950 million, United Insurance Rs 940 million, Everest Insurance Rs 890 million, National Insurance Rs 790 million, General Insurance Rs 590 million and Sanima General Rs 560 million.
