Kathmandu. Employees of Himalayan Bank have announced agitation against the social security fund brought by the government for the rights and interests of the employees. They have started agitation against the social fund led by the Himalayan Employees Union on Wednesday. Employees of more than half a dozen offices including the bank's central office in Kamaladi, main branch in Thamel, Patan and Maharagunj have staged protests with black banners.

The bank employees have been agitated after being asked to come to the social security fund. According to him, he has to repay the money he has earned so far, does not return it after repaying it, even if he gets a pension, the original money will sink.

The pension calculation method in the regulation of the fund and the arrangement to withdraw the amount of the fund only after 60 years are the points that the employees of banks and financial institutions are not very satisfied with. Chairman of the Himalayan Bank Employees' Union Gautam Bhandari said that they are preparing to intensify the agitation and file a case against the fund if the issue is not resolved.

Employees of other banks and financial institutions have already started protesting against the social security fund. Employees of banks and financial institutions have been agitating after the Social Security Fund cut the letter to register before mid-July.
