Kathmandu. On Thursday, the last trading day of the year, the Nepse index closed above 3,000 points. Today, the Nepse index increased by 18.75 points and closed at 3,004.31 points.
On the same day, the Sensitive Index rose by 4.06 points to 562.24. A total of 559.64 million shares worth Rs 11.11 billion have been bought and sold from 222 companies.
The Agriculture Development Bank has the largest share in the total transaction amount. Shares of the bank worth Rs 462.764 million were traded on the day. The bank's share price has risen by Rs 43 per share to close at Rs 588.
The mutual fund group's index rose the most at 5.27 percent on Thursday, while the trading group's index fell 2.02 percent. Along with mutual funds, the banking group's index rose 1.72 percent, finance's 1.54 percent, hydropower's 0.83 percent and non-life insurance's 0.27 percent.
Shares of Lakshmi Unnati Kosh rose 10.04 per cent, CEDB Hydropower 10 per cent, Ngadi Group Power 10 per cent and Mountain Hydro Nepal 10 per cent on Thursday.
