Kathmandu. Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has said that the budget for the current fiscal year has been presented unconstitutionally. Speaking in the federal parliament on Tuesday, the finance minister termed the budget as constitutional. He accused the previous government of poor vaccination management. He also expressed his commitment to create a conducive environment for the economy by vaccinating everyone.

He said that the economic growth will not be as announced in the fiscal year 2078/89 through the budget. He said that the economic growth has not been as expected in the past. He remarked that productive capital could not be expanded as Nepalis were consumerist. Finance Minister Sharma said that there is a problem in the field of capital formation as well.

He said that despite the increase in government expenditure, capital expenditure could not be incurred. He said that such a problem has arisen while allocating budget for projects that do not match the budget implementation capacity. He said that sustainability could not come in revenue mobilization. According to the details made public by the Finance Minister without calling it a white paper, even though the overall export has increased, the import has also increased.

According to the financial statement made public by the Finance Minister in the Parliament, the public debt has increased tremendously. Stating that development has not taken place in the country despite the increase in debt, he said that the economic scenario is difficult.
