Kathmandu. Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Maha Prasad Adhikari has administered oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Chairman of Himalayan Bank Limited Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha.

Chairman Shrestha has been reinstated as the chairman of the bank after taking oath. He was welcomed by senior members of the bank including Ashok Rana, member of the board of directors and chief executive officer of the bank.

Shrestha was elected as the chairman by the 411th Board of Directors meeting of the bank held on Wednesday, August 29, 2010.

Shrestha has been a member of the Board of Directors of Himalayan Bank Limited for the past 19 years.
