Kathmandu. The Inland Revenue Department has handed over a letter of commendation to Nabil Bank, which has collected the highest corporate tax among banks and financial institutions in the fiscal year 2076-2077 BS.
The bank had paid Rs 1.67 billion in taxes to the government of Nepal in the last fiscal year. The department had placed Nabil Bank on the list of the highest corporate tax payers among the banks on the occasion of Tax Day on November 20.
This is the sixth time in the last 10 years that Nabil Bank has been successful in paying high taxes to the banks.
The bank, which has launched various banking activities, is not only boosting the economy but also extending wide access to the livelihood and economic growth of all the people. Nabil has so far paid Rs 16.12 billion in taxes to the state. This is 1.16 times the total capital of the bank. The bank is providing services through 135 branches, 189 ATMs and more than 1500 Nabil remittance agents.
