NRB's operating profit declined by 24.96 percent

Kathmandu. Operating income of Nepal Rastra Bank has decreased by 24.96 percent. According to the financial statements released by the National Bank on Monday, net operating income decreased by 24.96 percent to Rs. 24.73 billion as compared to the previous year. Revenue from foreign exchange buying and selling was 23 percent, 7.7 percent and other operating income was 4.07 percent.

Net interest income decreased by 26.37 percent to Rs. 21.82 billion in the review year compared to the previous year, while income from foreign exchange buying and selling increased by 11.11 percent to Rs. 1.90 billion 38.40 million.

Similarly, other income decreased by 35.51 percent to Rs. 936.986 million, while net loss from fees and commissions decreased by 105.71 percent to Rs. 82.98 million in the review year compared to the previous year. Net income before FY 2077/78, foreign exchange and other asset revaluation profit and loss adjustment decreased by 31.39 percent as compared to the previous year and stood at Rs. 19.35 billion.

 Last year, the net income was 107.94 billion 61.24 million. In the review year, after other detailed income / expenditure, the total detailed income has been Rs. 32.55 billion 15.39 million. Last year, the total detailed income was Rs. 199.45 billion.
