Agency. Parag Agrawal, of Indian descent, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter Inc. Agarwal became CEO after the departure of Jack Dorsey. Agarwal, Twitter's chief technology officer, has been promoted to CEO. Twitter's share price fell 1.5 percent on Monday following the announcement of a change of CEO.

Jack Dorsey, 45, will remain on Twitter's board until 2022. He did not elaborate on the reason for his resignation.

Agrawal had been working as the Chief Technology Officer at Twitter since 2017. However, he has been associated with Twitter for almost a decade. He started working on Twitter in 2011 as a senior engineer.
