Kathmandu. Health and Population Minister Virodh Khatiwada has urged the citizens who have already taken two doses against Corona to take booster doses. At a meeting of the Education and Health Committee under the House of Representatives held at Singha Durbar on Sunday, Minister Khatiwada urged the citizens who have already taken two doses against Corona to take booster doses.

He said that the issue of third dose vaccination has been discussed with the introduction of a new type of anti-corona, Omicron. He said that the government is making arrangements at the state and district level to make arrangements for those who have low immunity to get the third dose of vaccine within three to six months.

‘Things came up with booster doses. The name of this third dose is called booster dose. With the advent of Omicron, it became more and more popular and it is said that it is safer to take a third dose than what has been said in the society. The World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended that those with low immunity should apply it within three to six months.

Minister Khatiwada said the government has so far banned about 10 countries to avoid a new type of anti-corona, Omicron. He said that citizens from other countries would also be kept in quarantine and would be allowed to go home only after testing their PCR. Minister Khatiwada also went to the villages carrying vaccine bags and urged the media and political parties to help in vaccinating against corona.
