Kathmandu. Three names have been selected for the chairmanship of Nepal Securities Board. The recommendation committee formed for the selection of the board chairman has recommended the names of Krishna Raj Pokhrel, Gopal Prasad Bhatt and Ramesh Kumar Hamal.

Fifteen candidates had applied for the post. Ramesh Ghimire, Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatt, Khagendra Katuwal, Mukti Aryal, Chiranjeevi Chapagain, Dr. Navraj Adhikari, Ambika Sharma Lamichhane, Krishnaraj Pokhrel, Dr. Jeevan Angai, Ramesh Kumar Hamal, Sitaram Thapaliya, Dr. Keshav Prasad Shrestha, Anil Raj Poudel, Niraj Giri and Hemant Basyal were present.

The selection and recommendation committee shortlisted five candidates and called them for interview on Sunday. The names of Niraj Giri and Khagendra Katuwal were not selected from the five candidates. The Council of Ministers will appoint one of the three recommended persons as the chairperson.
