Kathmandu. Ramesh Kumar Hamal has been appointed as the chairman of Nepal Securities Board (Cebon). The recommendation committee formed for the selection of the board chairman had recommended the names of Krishna Raj Pokhrel, Gopal Prasad Bhatt and Ramesh Kumar Hamal. Among the recommendations, the cabinet meeting held on Thursday appointed Hamal as the chairman of Cebon.
The meeting decided to appoint Hamal as the chairperson for the next four years. Hamal, who graduated in Electrical Engineering, has worked in Nepal Electricity Authority for eight years. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in International Business and Finance from Bangkok, Thailand. Hamal also has nearly three decades of experience working in the public and private sectors.
Fifteen candidates had applied for the post. Ramesh Ghimire along with Hamal, Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatt, Khagendra Katuwal, Mukti Aryal, Chiranjeevi Chapagain, Dr. Navraj Adhikari, Ambika Sharma Lamichhane, Krishnaraj Pokhrel, Dr. Jeevan Angai, Sitaram Thapaliya, Dr. Keshav Prasad Shrestha, Anil Raj Poudel, Niraj Giri and Hemant Basyal were present.
