Rastriya Banijya Bank's 57th AGM Program Completed with Smart QR Teller service

Kathmandu. Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited's 57th Anniversary Celebration has been completed through virtual medium. The bank has launched Smart QR Teller service at the counters of all the branch offices so that the customers who have availed the mobile banking facility of the bank can avail cash payment of up to Rs 2 lakh.

Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Sharma said that Rastriya Banijya Bank was facing challenges but was moving ahead commercially. He said that banks and financial institutions should further contribute to nation building by investing in productive sectors. He said that the banking services provided by the bank through technology in the coming days should do more for the customer friendly service as per the aspirations of the customers. He said that the bank should be ready to face the challenges that may come. He said that the system should be protected by avoiding the current situation. He urged the banks and financial institutions to invest in raising the living standards of the lower class citizens.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, Dr. Balram Pathak, said that the bank has succeeded in presenting its financial position and indicators in an excellent manner and has been able to play a leading role in all sectors of the banking sector. Similarly, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Kiran Kumar Shrestha while briefing about the current status of the bank and overall plan said that the bank is emphasizing on digital services.

Established 57 years ago on January 26, 2022 with the objective of supporting the development of the economic sector of the country, this bank is the first commercial bank to reach all 77 districts in the seven states of the country. At present, the bank has 258 branch offices, 245 ATMs, 41 extension counters and 98 branchless banking services across the country.
