Now Cooperatives have own their ATMs

Kathmandu. Cooperatives will now be issued their own ATM cards. A tripartite agreement has been reached between Rastriya Sahakari Bank, Smart Choice Technologies (STC) and Global IME Bank on the issue of issuing cards on Sunday.

The agreement was signed by Narayan Prakash Bhuju, Chief Executive Officer of SCT, Ratna Raj Bajracharya, Chief Executive Officer of Global IME Bank and Badri Kumar Guragai, Chief Executive Officer of Cooperative Bank.

In addition, cooperatives will now be able to provide ATM services to their members in the name of 'Cop Card'. Cooperatives can provide ATM service by signing an agreement with the cooperative bank and the settlement of transactions will also be done by the cooperative bank. Suman Pokharel, chairman of STC, said that users can withdraw cash from ATMs of any country and any bank connected to the UPI network.
