Century Bank Joins billionaire club, Increasing profits by 183.59 percent

Kathmandu. Century Bank has jumped in profits. By the third quarter of the current Fiscal Year 2078/79, the Bank's net profit has increased by 183.59 percent and it has entered the Bank Billion Club. Century Bank, which made a net profit of Rs 358.15 million in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, has made a net profit of Rs 1.156 billion till the third quarter of the current fiscal year.

Similarly, the bank's net interest income has also increased by 11.66 percent. The bank had earned net interest income of Rs 2.14 billion in the third quarter of the current fiscal year as against Rs 1.91 billion in the same period last year. The earnings per share of the bank is Rs 14.17. The distributable profit of the bank is Rs. 512.288 million.

Similarly, the reserve fund of the bank has also increased by 35.19 percent. Out of the total reserve fund of Rs. 1.32 billion in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, a total reserve fund of Rs. 1.79 billion has been maintained till the third quarter of the current fiscal year.

The bank has collected a total of Rs 90.52 billion in deposits and a total of Rs 87.22 billion in loans. The bank's credit investment has increased by 11.45 percent compared to last year. Century Bank's non-performing loans also declined by 1.36 percent. The NPL ratio of the bank, which was 2.60 percent till mid-April of the last fiscal year, has remained at 1.60 percent till mid-April of the current fiscal year. The bank has a net worth of Rs 124.16 per share and price-to-earnings ratio of 15.17 times in the third quarter. The bank's CD ratio is 93.57 percent.
