Kathmandu. Women's participation in banking and financial sector in Nepal. The number of women working in the top management level from the bank employees is good. Half a dozen banks employ women as Deputy Chief Executive Officers (DCEOs), while the participation of women in the top management of most commercial banks is increasing.

As women's participation in banks and financial institutions has increased, they have gradually reached higher management. Only two weeks ago, Mega Bank CEO Anupama Khunjeli left the bank. She is the first woman CEO of Nepali Banijya Bank.

As soon as she left Mega Bank, Rabina Deshraj Shrestha got the responsibility as the working CEO of the bank. The participation of women bankers is more in the top management of Mega Bank. Pragya Pandey, Deni Shrestha and Janu Thapa are also in the top management of the bank. They are ranked fourth, seventh and eighth respectively.

Lately, women bankers seem to be ready to go to the top management of the bank and lead the bank itself. Women are the second priority in the top management of five commercial banks. Samata Pant Bhatt is currently working as the Deputy CEO of Nepal Bank. She is second in management of the bank.

After Nepal Bank CEO Krishna Bahadur Adhikari, Pant is on the line to become CEO. Similarly, Bandana Pathak is working as Deputy CEO in NCC Bank. She is also in the second rank after the CEO in the bank. She will probably be the next CEO.

Aarti Rana is working as the Deputy CEO of Sunrise Bank. She is second in the bank. After the current CEO Suman Sharma, Rana will probably be the CEO. Anupama Shrestha is in the second rank of Century Bank. She is currently working as the Chief Marketing Officer at the bank. Century Bank is giving priority to the youth. Recently, Manoj Neupane, who has been holding the responsibility of Acting CEO, has become the CEO of the bank. She is the best after Neupane. Similarly, Subnam Limbu is working as Chief Support Officer in NMB Bank. She is ranked third in the bank in terms of rankings.

Nabita Dixit is also working as the Chief Credit Officer of Nabil Bank. She is ranked fifth in the management of the bank. Sujata Joshi is in Nepal Investment Bank. She has been leading the bank's risk law management department. She is ranked sixth in the bank rankings. Similarly, Shanta Siwakoti of Global IME Bank is working as Chief Manager. Sisham Pradhananga Joshi of Himalayan Bank is also in the bank's risk management department. She is ranked eighth in the bank. Salonika Singh is the Deputy General Manager of Nepal Bangladesh Bank. She is working as the Chief Business Officer in the bank. She is ranked fourth in the bank.
