Kathmandu. The merger agreement between Himalayan and Civil Bank will be signed on Friday. After the merger of Himalayan Bank with Nepal Investment Bank broke down, Himalayan Bank was forced to merge with another financial institution. According to Civil Bank sources, Himalayan will get a rate of Rs 81 per share. Investment, on the other hand, has agreed to merge with Mega Bank. NRB had given one year to Himalayan to merge with another commercial bank. According to the preliminary agreement for the merger, no one from Civil Bank will be the operator in the new bank. Ashok Rana of Himalayan Bank will continue as the Chief Executive Officer.
