Kathmandu. In the last month of financial year 2078/079 banks deposits increased in commercial banks. One trillion 41 billion rupees of deposits have been added in banks this month. According to the data of Nepal Bankers Association, on the last day of the month of May, there were deposits of 44 trillion rupees in commercial banks. By the end of June, the deposit has reached 45 trillion 41 billion rupees. During this period, one trillion 41 billion rupees have come into the deposit banking system.
Since the beginning of June, there has been an improvement in the deposits of commercial banks. Until the first week of this month, there were 43 trillion 94 billion rupees in deposits, and by the second week, it had increased by 4 billion rupees to 43 trillion 98 billion rupees.
Likewise, deposits reached 44 trillion 32 billion rupees by June 17 and reached 44 trillion 94 billion rupees by June 24. It is mentioned in the data of the association that from June 24th to 32nd, the amount of money in commercial banks increased by 47 billion rupees to 45 trillion 41 billion rupees.
On the other hand, loan disbursement has decreased in the month of June. Loan disbursement has decreased by 18 billion rupees in the month of June compared to the end of May. By June 31, commercial banks had provided loans of 41 trillion 93 billion rupees. According to the data of the association, the loan flow decreased by 18 billion rupees to 41 trillion 75 billion rupees as of June 32.
