Kathmandu. NMB Bank, Nepal's leading bank with a unique brand identity of sustainable and value-based banking, has entered into an agreement with British International Investment (BII) to bring in a periodical loan investment of 25 million US dollars.

NMB Bank has become the only bank in Nepal to receive the second term loan from BII. This loan will help to increase investment in water resources and renewable energy sector in a situation where internal resources alone are not able to meet the current market demand. It is expected that the expanded investment will play an important role in the development of water resources and renewable energy sector and will also contribute to the development of the overall economy.

Speaking at the agreement signing ceremony organized by NMB Bank, Bank's Executive Officer Sunil KC said that the loan investment will benefit the projects working in the energy sector as well as play an important role in taking the concept of sustainable banking taken by the bank a step forward.

NMB Bank is a bank that has been honored with the title of "Bank of the Year Asia 2021" by The Financial Times, London's "The Banker" magazine. NMB Bank has received the title of 'Bank of the Year Nepal' four times by this magazine for 2017, 2018, 2020 and 2021. NMB Bank is currently providing high level services through 201 branches, 138 ATMs and 11 extension counters across the country.
