Kathmandu. After becoming the Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, the first meeting of the Central Security Committee was held under the chairmanship of Ravi Lamichhane.

The meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs at Sinha Darbar was attended by a charioteer of the Nepali Army, the head of the Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and National Investigation Department, the head of the Peace and Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Deputy Secretary Fanindra Pokharel. During that time, they gave a security briefing to Home Minister Lamichhane.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed subordinate security agencies within 48 hours to return personal security personnel and assistants to current and former employees and security personnel against the rules.

The ministry issued a statement on Tuesday and directed that "if the service facility is taken contrary to the provisions of the Security Management Procedure for Specific Persons 2077 and personal security personnel and assistants are taken, they should be returned within 48 hours."

The spokesperson of the ministry, Fanindramani Pokharel, issued a statement and said that the current and former employees/security personnel will get the facility of personal security personnel only as specified in the procedure.
