Kathmandu. The Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane has made it clear that the transfer and promotion of police personnel are based on ability, professionalism, ethics and knowledge.
Addressing the ceremony organized here today after the inspection visit of the Armed Police Force Nepal Head Office, Halchok, Home Minister Lamichhane mentioned that many people may have been confused about the transfer and promotion during his service and said that this will not be the case now.
Home Minister Lamichhane has already given clear instructions to the police personnel that they will take action against politicians and other higher authorities to fulfill their wishes.
In that ceremony, Home Minister Lamichhane also asked to remove the tendency of being near and far and inside and outside while being in the organization and carry out the responsibilities efficiently. He instructed to correct the weaknesses in the past and perform the work with zero weaknesses in the administrative and managerial aspects.
He said that the physical infrastructure for the stay of the deployed officers and soldiers is weak due to the scorching heat of Terai and the severe cold of Olangchungola and Changru in the Himalayas, and he expressed his commitment to develop the infrastructure as far as possible.
