Kathmandu . President Bidya Devi Bhandari has asked banks and financial institutions to pay attention to corporate social responsibility along with profit. He urged us to pay attention to social responsibility along with profit, although it is natural to expect reasonable profit after investing.

Addressing the third annual general meeting of the Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBFIN) on Sunday, President Bhandari said, 'National capital building and its judicious use are indispensable for building a self-reliant and self-sufficient economy. For this, a lot of work will have to be done in the development of entrepreneurship.

He said that emphasis should be placed on increasing domestic production, reducing imports and promoting exports. Stating that he is aware of the problems faced by the banks for some time, he also told the concerned agencies to take initiative to solve the problem.
