Kathmandu. Ganesh Raj Pokharel has continued as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Citizens Bank International. The meeting of the board of directors of the bank held on Wednesday, January 18, appointed Pokharel as the CEO for the next 4 years.

Pokharel has been associated with the bank since its inception and has been holding various positions in leadership roles. He has been working in the bank since 2065, which is ranked second.

During his tenure, the bank has succeeded in achieving good achievements in most of the indicators and branding including customer number, demat number, mobile banking and other digital and transaction banking service facilities.

During Pokharel's first 4-year tenure, the bank's average annual deposits increased by 26.04 percent and reached 161.45 billion, while loans increased by 23.62 percent annually and reached 142.54 billion and paid-up capital reached 14.20 billion. Similarly, the net profit increased by 12.91 percent annually on an average in 4 years. 2 billion in 2078 and 79.

The bank is currently providing services from 182 branch offices, 3 extended counters, 135 ATMs, 97 branchless banking units and 20 microfinance units across the country. At present, the bank has more than 1.5 million customers.
