Kathmandu . Preparations for the CAN Infotech 2023 Fair to be held from February 8 to 13  under the organization of Computer Association Nepal Federation (CAN Federation) have reached the final stage. CAN held a press conference in Kathmandu on Thursday and informed that the preparations for the 28th edition of the CAN Infotech Fair to be held at the exhibition hall at Bhrikutimanda have reached the final stage.

According to CAN, the exhibition is going to be organized with the aim of creating the necessary strategy for the development of this sector and making meaningful interactions. The preparations for CAN Infotech 2023, the country's largest information technology exhibition organized by the CAN Federation, said that the president of the Federation, Ranjit Podar, has reached its final stage.

"In CAN Infotech, there will be a special exhibition of the latest technology and services introduced in the field of information and communication technology and an in-depth discussion among the stakeholders," he said. Infodevelopers Pvt Ltd is the title sponsor of the 28th CAN Infotech and Smart Choice Technologies Limited (SCT) is the associate sponsor.

According to the sponsoring company, the official name of this comprehensive information and communication technology exhibition is “Infodevelopers Can Infotech 2023 in Association with SCT”. For the first time in the history of Can Infotech, a software company has become the top sponsor.

Speaking at the press conference, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Infodevelopers, Umesh Raghuvanshi said that top sponsorship was given to CAN Infotech to promote Nepal's software industry and encourage indigenous production. He said, "Can Mela was represented more by the hardware sector earlier. We believe that this will help in building a market for software and solutions in the country."

Likewise, Dishhome Fibernet is the platinum sponsor of Can Infotech 2023, Nepal Telecom is the diamond sponsor and Maya Animation Academy and Huawei are the gold sponsors. Silver sponsors are SPower, Digicom and Arn Sikka (Unlimited Technology).

The 27th edition of the Infotech was successfully completed in the year 2022, since the CAN Federation started the CAN Infotech in 1995. The annual exhibition and conference related to information and communication technology and entertainment in Nepal has been established as the largest exhibition in the country.

A fee of Rs 100 for the general public and Rs 50 for students has been fixed for viewing CAN Infotech. According to Can, it is possible to download the mobile app of Infotech's ticketing partner Paywell and purchase a ticket for 25 rupees from the app.

CAN Federation member organizations as well as various national and international information and communication technology companies will participate in the information and communication technology exhibition.

The exhibition will be used by businessmen as a platform for business expansion as well as a platform for exhibiting new technologies and observers will be able to view and purchase new and future technologies and equipment in information and communication technology at one platform. The organizers believe that the exhibition will be a special place for those interested in information technology to get information about the development and use in this field.
