Kathmandu. The 28th edition of the Comprehensive Information and Communication Technology Exhibition 'CAN Infotech 2023' organized by the Computer Assoc. Nepal Federation (CAN Federation) has been completed with grandeur. More than 300,000 people have seen this exhibition held from January 24th to 29th at Bhrikutimandap in the capital.

Communication and Information Technology Minister Rekha Sharma inaugurated 'Infodevelopers Can Infotech 2023 in Associate with Dishhome Fibernet' in a special ceremony last Tuesday. On that occasion, representatives of the private sector and various organizations were present along with special officials of the Government of Nepal.

Various companies and brands from the country and abroad were present in the branding room at the exhibition venue. Among these were fintech, internet service providers, telecom service providers, hardware sales and maintenance, power solutions, etc. Similarly, this time, a special place was given to companies related to startups, innovations, colleges and training centers, software solutions and computing devices. Thus, more than 150 stalls participated in the exhibition.

Exhibitor companies in the fair promoted their goods and services among consumers. Also, on this occasion, the companies also announced discounts and attractive plans by giving 'Can Infotech Offer' on their products. Companies that are close to their customers also conducted interactive and fun games. On the last day of the fair, the companies offered a 30 to 60 percent discount on the purchase and booking of their services and products.

A blood donation program was also held on the occasion of Can Infotech, in which 193 people participated in blood donation. Likewise, Abhiyanta Foundation conducted a 6-day free health camp in collaboration with the CAN Federation. Under this, a total of 727 people were provided with diabetes checkup and consultation for 240 people, 234 for eye checkup and consultation and 253 for dental checkup.

Similarly, coding competition, quiz contest, gaming competition, robo soccer competition etc. were conducted at CAN Infotech.

CAN ICT Seminar 2023 : On the occasion of CAN Infotech 2023, Computer Association Nepal Federation (CAN Federation) has organized an ICT seminar. Under this, ICT seminars were held on 4 different topics from January 25th to January 29th.

According to the organizers, there was a special interaction between stakeholders on the issue of gap between industry and academia on January 25th. Similarly, on January 26, a seminar was organized on two topics, blockchain technology and fintech.

Similarly, on Sunday, January 29, there was an interaction between the stakeholders on the Internet ecosystem in Nepal. On this occasion, speakers on behalf of internet service providers, regulators and consumers gave their views on issues such as bandwidth issue, internet quality, data leak etc. In addition, Youth AGIF Nepal said in the same program that the public awareness about the Internet should be through the school label itself. General Secretary of CAN Federation, Chiranjeevi Adhikari, said that CAN Infotech has succeeded in bringing meaningful interaction between the concerned people along with the exhibition of information technology.

Meanwhile, General Secretary of the Federation Chiranjeevi Adhikari informed that after the successful completion of CAN Infotech at the national level in the capital, a plan to implement CAN Infotech in all seven provinces by 2023 has been introduced. He said that preparations for this have been completed rapidly.
