Kathmandu. The Nepal Securities Board has granted securities broker license to 11 more companies in the second phase. Spokesperson Mukti Shrestha informed that the board has distributed broker licenses to 11 more companies on Monday.
Spokesman that the board has decided to grant licenses of securities traders, fully functioning securities brokers and limited working securities brokers to 11 more petitioner organizations that have prepared infrastructure and informed the board in accordance with the provisions of the Securities Dealers (Securities Brokers and Securities Dealers) Regulations, 2064 on June 22.
The Board has appointed Elite Stock House, Infinity Securities, Index Securities, Suktasha Securities, Hatemalo Financial Services, Money World Share Exchange, Machhapuchhre Securities, K.V.L. Securities and Kalash Stock Market have been granted the license of securities brokers, Megha Stock Markets as full brokers and Nabil Securities as securities dealers.
Earlier, the board had granted licenses to 7 companies in the first phase. With this, the number of broker license holders has reached 19. Previously, the companies that got the license were Bhole Ganesh Securities, Capital Mass Securities, Himalayan Brokerage Company, Sun Securities, Meo Securities, Sharepro Securities and Property Virjad. 45 companies applied for a new broker license at the Securities Board. Out of which 43 companies have been granted Letter of Intent (LOI) by the Board.
