Kathmandu. In the current financial year, 42 companies have received permission to issue ordinary shares worth 22 billion 378 million 12 thousand 897 rupees. If we look at the data, this year there has been a flood in the IPO of Hydropower. This year, 29 hydropower companies have received permission to issue IPOs from the Nepal Securities Board Sebon.
In addition, 4 insurance companies, 4 microfinance companies, 2 hotel and tourism groups, Ghorahi Cement and Republic Media have received permission to issue IPOs from the Nepal Securities Board Sebon. Other and one-by-one companies of the product group have also received permission to issue primary shares. The IPO sale of some of these companies is yet to be opened.
In the financial year 2078/79, 28 companies received permission for IPO issuance. Of which there are 19 hydropower, 8 microfinance, and one investment company. That year, approval was granted to issue an IPO worth 7 billion 20 million 36 lakh 42 thousand 500 rupees.
In the financial year 2077/078, 22 companies received permission to issue ordinary shares. In this financial year, permission was granted to issue shares worth a total of 15 billion 18 billion 64 lakh 82 thousand 700 rupees.
7 insurance companies, 7 hydropower companies, 5 microfinance companies, others, hotels and tourism and one company each from the investment group received permission to issue IPOs.
In the financial year 2076/77, only 9 companies received permission to issue IPO. Among them, 4 were hydropower, 2 were insurance, 2 were microfinance, and one was an investment group company. In that year, they were allowed to issue shares worth 3.99 billion 48 lakh 4 thousand rupees.
In the financial year 2075/76, 28 companies received permission to issue IPO. Among them, 12 microfinance companies and 16 hydropower companies received permission to issue IPO worth a total of 7 billion 346 million 76 thousand 800 rupees.
