Kathmandu – Tilak Raj Pandey has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Bank. Pandey was appointed as the CEO by the selection committee of the bank. The names of five people were selected in the CEO competition. Out of which Pandey has been appointed CEO after professional action plan and interview.

Pandey, who has more than three decades of experience in the banking sector, is a product of Nepal Bank. After working in Nepal Bank for 29 years, he retired as Chief Manager. After leaving Nepal Bank, he worked as a consultant in Asian Development Bank for one year.

He joined the bank as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) when the then Vivaor Bikas Bank was in trouble. After the situation of Vivore Development Bank improved, it was merged with Lumbini Development Bank. And he went out. He received his MBA from Tribhuvan University and worked for 1 year as an academic director at National Banking Institute, a joint investment of Nepal Rastra Bank and 20 other institutions.
