Kathmandu. Nineteen people, including the former deputy governor of Rashtra Bank, have applied to become the chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). Till the last day, 19 people including former Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Shivraj Shrestha has applied.
Those who submitted the application are Chiranjeevi Chapagain, Chairman of the Insurance Committee, Acting Head of the Securities Board, Dr. Navraj Adhikari, Executive Director Krishnaraj Pokhrel, Executive Director Muktinath Shrestha.
Similarly, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Stock Exchange Krishna Bahadur Karki, former CEO of Nepal Bank Krishna Bahadur Adhikari, former Executive Director of Rastra Bank Dr. Gopal Bhatt, former executive director of the board Neeraj Giri, Dr. Keshab Prasad Shrestha, Mukti Aryal, former CEO of NEPSE Sitaram Thapalia, Bimal Tiwari, Prabin Pandak, Raghu Kafle and others have applied.
Vice President of National Planning Commission Dr. Under the coordination of Meen Bahadur Shrestha, Secretary of the Ministry of Finance Dr. Krishnahari Pushkar and management professor Uday Niraula are members of the recommendation committee. This committee will shortlist the names of 5 people from those who applied. After the presentation and interview of 5 people, the names of 3 people will be recommended to the Council of Ministers.
