Government issuing 33 billion of  treasury bill

Kathmandu: The government is going to issue a treasury bill worth 33 billion. The Public Debt Management Office is going to renew the treasury bill of 23 billion and is going to issue a new treasury of 10 billion.

For this treasury bill that will be released on Wednesday (16th of June), the treasury will be discussed today, Monday, 14th of June at 3 pm. The Public Debt Management Office is about to issue 5 billion rupees treasury renewal and 5 billion rupees new treasury for 91 days. This treasury will mature on 11th August.

Treasury renewal of 6 billion rupees for 182 days and a new treasury bill of 5 billion rupees is about to be issued. This treasury will mature on November 11th. The treasury bill worth 12 billion rupees is about to be renewed for 1 year. This treasury will mature on May 4, 2082.

Treasury bills are short-term government bonds used to raise domestic debt with a maturity of 1 or less than 1 year. This bill is sold to raise short-term (one year at most) funds required by the government. There is a provision that can be used to purchase treasury bill certificates before the payment date, statutory liquidity ratio, permanent liquidity facility and inter-bank transactions.

In the case of individuals, it is also possible to take loans from banks and financial institutions by pledging treasury bill certificates. Banks and financial institutions of all categories, organized organizations and even ordinary citizens can participate in the discussion of the treasury bill.
