Kathmandu. Companies are declaring dividends in a hurry. From the profits earned last year, the companies have started distributing dividends to their shareholders. So far, 60 companies have distributed dividends to shareholders, including 20 companies, 25 mutual funds and 15 other companies listed in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE).
From the profit of 2080/81, it is proposed to distribute a total of 15.53 percent dividend by 10 percent bonus shares and 5.53 percent cash of the current paid-up capital of 11 billion 7679 million 3 thousand rupees.
Citizens Bank has cashed 568 million 38 thousand 960 bonus shares of 14 billion 209 million rupees at the rate of 4 percent from the profit of last year 2080/81 and 20 million 98 million 96 thousand 787 rupees at the rate of 0.21 percent for tax purposes. Nepal Luve Oil has proposed to distribute a total of 25% dividend from the profit of the last year 2080/81 by 20% bonus shares and 5% cash including tax purposes of the currently retained paid-up capital.
Unilever Nepal has proposed to distribute 1,714 percent dividend to the shareholders from the profit of last year 2080/81.
AP Power Company distributed a total of 9.47 percent dividend to the shareholders from the net profit of last year 2080/81 with 9 percent bonus shares and 0.4737 percent in cash for tax purposes. However, the Electricity Regulatory Commission has said that the company's dividend has been stopped.
Sanima Reliance Life Insurance has proposed to distribute bonus shares worth 769 million 65 thousand rupees at the rate of 18.38 percent of the paid-up capital of 4 billion 184 million rupees from the profit of the year 2079/80.
Mutual funds
Among the various collective investment funds (mutual funds) operated by the merchant banks, only 25 mutual funds have distributed returns from last year's profits. There are 36 mutual funds listed and trading in the capital market. Another 11 mutual funds are yet to distribute the returns to their unit holders.
Laxmi Sunrise Capital has distributed returns to the unit holders of 4 different mutual funds. According to Capital, Sunrise First Mutual Fund distributed 12.5 percent, Sunrise Focused Equity Fund 4.5 percent, Lakshmi Unnati Kosh 7.5 percent and Laxmi Value Fund 2 distributed 4.5 percent cash dividend.
NIC Asia Capital has distributed returns from last year's profit to the unit holders of 5 different mutual funds. NIC Asia Select-30 (Index Fund) 14% i.e. 175 million rupees, Flexi Cap Fund 10.50% i.e. 100.71 million rupees, Dynamic Debt Fund 10%, Growth Fund 9.50% i.e. 793 million rupees 44 thousand rupees and Balanced Fund has distributed 9.25 percent i.e. 6 crore 98 lakh 37 thousand 500 rupees.
Similarly, Kumari Capital has distributed cash dividend of 9.50 percent i.e. 95 million rupees to the unit holders of Kumari Equity Fund and 9.50 percent i.e. 11 crore 63 lakh 81 thousand 896 rupees to the unit holders of Kumari Dhanvriddhi Yojana.
Sanima Capital's Sanima Equity Fund has distributed 15 percent, Sanima Large Cap Fund 10 percent and Sanima Growth Fund 10 percent cash dividend. RVV Merchant Banking has distributed cash dividend of 3.81 percent to RVV Mutual Fund 1 i.e. 4 crore 75 lakh 72 thousand 323 rupees and 8.74 percent i.e. 7 crore 39 lakh 46 thousand rupees to RVV Mutual Fund 2.
Siddharth Capital's Siddharth Investment Growth Scheme-3 will distribute Rs 564 lakh 6000 at the rate of 7 percent, 6.35 percent to the unit holders of NIMBS Capital's NIVL Growth Fund and Global IME Balanced Fund-1 of Global IME Capital will distribute 5 percent cash dividend.
Nabil Investment Banking's Nabil Flexi Cap Fund will distribute 5 percent i.e. 31.2 million 15 thousand rupees and Nabil Balanced Fund 2 will distribute 8 percent, Prabhu Capital's Prabhu Select Fund will distribute 10 percent and Prabhu Smart Fund will distribute 8.50 percent cash dividend.
Similarly, Citizens Mutual Fund 1 of Citizens Capital will distribute 9 percent, Citizens Mutual Fund 2 6.5 percent and Citizens Super 30 Mutual Fund 10 percent, NMB Capital's NMB Fifty 15 percent and NMB Sulabh Investment Fund 3 will distribute 10 percent returns. .
