Kathmandu. Top 10 Commercial banks of Nepal declare dividend to the shareholders from the profits of the last financial year 2079/080, while some have left the hands of the shareholders empty.
NIC Asia, Everest Bank, Standard Chartered, Sanima Bank, Machhapuchre Bank, Nabil Bank, Nepal SBI Bank, Global IME, Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Citizens Bank, Siddharth Bank have offered dividends.
Kumari Bank, Himalayan Bank, NMB Bank, Prime Commercial Bank and Nepal Bank have announced that they will not pay dividends to the shareholders from last year's profits. Also, Krishi Bikas Bank, Prabhu Bank and Nepal Investment Mega Bank have not declared dividends.
Among the commercial banks that have declared dividends so far, NIC Asia has the highest dividend. The company has proposed to distribute 30.52 percent dividend to the shareholders. Similarly, secondly, Everest Bank has proposed 20.53 percent dividend distribution.
The lowest dividend is offered by Siddhath Bank. The company has proposed a dividend of 4.21 percent from last year's profit. Kumari Bank, Himalayan Bank, NMB Bank, Prime Commercial Bank and Nepal Bank have already announced that they will not pay dividends from last year's profits.
