Kathmandu. Salaries and allowances of Everest Bank employees have increased by 13.17 percent. Compared to the previous year, in the last financial year 2080/81, the salary of bank employees increased by 13.17 percent, i.e. 285 million rupees, to 2.41 billion 5 million rupees. In the previous year, the bank had paid 2 billion 129 million rupees to the employees.
According to the bank, employees have been paid Rs 792.2 million for salary, Rs. 502.1 million for allowance, Rs. 944 million for gratuity, Rs. 722 million for accumulation fund, and Rs. 93 thousand for clothing. In the previous year, the bank had paid Rs 74 crore 46 lakh for salary, Rs 42 crore 19 lakh for allowance, Rs 9 crore 49 lakh for gratuity, Rs 6 crore 86 lakh for accumulation fund, and Rs 24 lakh 45 thousand for clothing.
According to the bank, it has spent 3 crore 43 lakh rupees on development, 12 crore 6 lakh rupees on accumulated leave, 78 lakh 95 thousand rupees on medical treatment, and 2 crore 17 lakh rupees on insurance. Last year, 20.9 million rupees were spent on training and development, 9.23 million rupees on accumulated leave, 7.67 million rupees on medical treatment, and 1.85 million rupees on insurance.
According to the bank, financial expenses under NFRS last year were Rs. 964 million, other expenses related to employees were Rs. 393 million, and employee bonus was Rs. 6287 million. Also, the number of employees in the bank has also increased. In the previous year, 1,097 employees were employed, and last year, 1,156 people were employed.
