Kathmandu. Due to the risk of Kovid-19 infection, Nepal Rastra Bank has decided not to exchange ten new notes this time. In previous years, NRB had been making arrangements to exchange new notes through its offices as well as various banks. The common people sat on the new note line for decades.
The NRB said that the decision was taken not to exchange the corona virus as it would increase the risk of infection. However, those who need it can get new and easy notes from their own account, said Gunakar Bhatta, spokesperson of NRB.
He informed that the customers can get new and easy notes even after withdrawing money from the ATM.
NRB had been exchanging new notes of Rs 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 500 during the decade.
