Kathmandu. Of the 35 hydropower companies listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the share price of 16 companies was less than Rs 100 per share as of July 19. Investors who invest in hydropower companies have earned a decent income in three-and-a-half months.

Meanwhile, the return on investment of hydropower companies has increased significantly. In the first week of July, the share price of 16 companies was less than half of the investment. At that time, the lowest share price of Khanikhola Hydro and Ankhukhola Hydropower Company was Rs 48/48 per share.

It has increased to Rs. 121 and Rs. 120 per capita respectively during this period. The share price has risen by Rs 73 and Rs 72 per share during the period. At that time, the share price of two companies, which was less than Rs 100 per share, has now reached Rs 200 or more per share. Arun Valley Hydropower's share price has risen the most by Rs 163 per share during the period.

Share prices of other companies have also improved significantly. At present, the share price of any company is not less than one hundred rupees. According to sources, one of the reasons for the rise in the company's share price during this period is the low bank interest rate. As the interest rates of banks and financial institutions have come down, so has the investment in the hydropower sector.

Investors' attention has been drawn to the fact that as soon as the cost of the company is reduced, the return it will give will be quick and high.

The sub-index of the hydropower group has increased by 461.77 points in the last four months. This also shows that there is a lot of investor interest in the sub-indicators of the hydropower group. Due to which, the investors who have regretted investing in the hydropower company have become very enthusiastic lately.
