Kathmandu. Rastriya Banijya Bank Limited and National Youth Council have signed an agreement for providing soft loan to young entrepreneurs. The agreement was signed by Kiran Kumar Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank and Madhav Prasad Dhungel, Executive Vice President of the National Youth Council on Thursday.
Following the agreement, the National Youth Council will conduct entrepreneurship development and financial literacy programs for youths between the ages of 16 and 40 in 35 groups in each of the five palikastas of each province and recommend them for loans.
Speaking on the occasion, Kiran Kumar Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, said that the gap between the youth who want to become entrepreneurs and the bank will be bridged after the agreement. Madhav Dhungel, vice-chairman of the National Youth Council, said that the training would impart knowledge of business and ship development to the youth and reduce the risk of misuse of bank loans.
Deputy Executive Officer of the Bank Devendra Raman Khanal and Deputy Secretary of the National Youth Council Kamala Gyawali said that the loan would help the youth to develop entrepreneurship.
