Kathmandu: Nepal Credit and Commerce (NCC) Bank has reported a net profit of Rs 614 million in the second quarter of the current fiscal year. Profit is down 18.81% from last year. It had earned a profit of Rs 756.3 million last year. NCC's distributable profit also declined by 20.67% to Rs. 416.6 million.

 NCC's net interest income has declined by 13.27% and operating profit by 43.90% till mid-December. Net profit was affected as interest income and operating profit declined from the previous year. The bank has managed to increase its deposits by 53.97% and credit investments by 19.41%.

Its NPLs have shrunk from 2.82% to 2.42%. NCC's earnings per share fell by Rs 5.47 to Rs 13.13. Similarly, net worth per share has also come down from Rs 160.18 to Rs 148.38.
