Kathmandu. On Sunday, the first trading day of the year, the Nepse index dropped 33.33 points and closed at 2493.59 points. Today's market opened at 2536.47 points and fell to 2537 points.

A total of 16,058,458 shares worth Rs 8.41 billion were sold on Thursday, while 148.51 million shares worth Rs 6.92 billion were traded on Sunday.

 NECO Insurance Company Limited has the largest share in the total turnover. Shares of the company worth Rs 523.3 million were traded. The company's share price has also risen 7.40 percent. After NECO, the highest amount of shares of Nepal Bank has been traded on this day. Shares of Nepal Bank worth Rs 366 million were traded.

The share price of Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited, which traded in the secondary market, has risen the most by 10 percent. The company, which opened at Rs 340 per share, has closed at Rs 374. The company's share price has risen by Rs 34 per share on the same day.

Similarly, the share price of Corporate Development Bank and NECO Insurance has also increased by more than 7 percent on this day.
